THE ALEFING FOUNDATIONב״ה
ALEFING WORLDBRINGING THE ALEF INTO LIFE

Alefing Intelligence · Chassidus & Geulah

Clear understanding.
Depth that enters life.

A branch of The Alefing Foundation devoted to making the teachings of Chassidus clear, deep, and lived—with particular attention to the true and complete Geulah through Moshiach.

The approach

Follow the idea.
Understand its meaning.

We study the future so its meaning can illuminate our understanding and avodah now.

Avodah means our service of Hashem. Chassidus helps us understand the purpose of that service and the significance of Torah and mitzvos within the physical world.

The Alefing curriculum uses short readings, deeper explanation, Hebrew sources with English support, and questions for reflection or chavrusa—learning with a partner. The original Torah source remains the foundation.

The question behind the learning

How does this teaching help me understand my connection with Hashem and the purpose of what I do?

An eight-part course in Chassidus

Mayim Rabbim 5717.
Learning toward Geulah.

BASED ON THE REBBE’S MAAMAR

Present avodah and the future revelation with Moshiach.

This curriculum follows the Rebbe’s maamar delivered on Shabbos Parshas Toldos, 5717. Its eight units follow the original eleven sections, with explanatory readings, Hebrew and English sources, reflection questions, and a glossary.

Curriculum prepared by Rabbi Yisroel Tewel. The explanations and reflection questions are study aids; the original maamar governs the teaching.

  1. 01The bond that exile cannot erase
  2. 02The thirst for Hashem Himself
  3. 03The unity that will be revealed
  4. 04Living now according to that unity
  5. 05Present avodah and the future resurrection
  6. 06Concealment becomes a path to revelation
  7. 07The unlimited revealed within the limited
  8. 08The soul’s deepest bond and complete Geulah

A thoughtful way to study

Read. Understand.
Return to the source.

01 / Clarity

Find the question.

Begin by identifying what the teaching is asking. Read the short explanation and put the central idea into your own words.

02 / Depth

Follow the reasoning.

Learn the background and the distinctions the maamar makes. Look at how each part of the argument leads to the next.

03 / Avodah

Consider what it means.

Use the reflection question with a chavrusa or on your own. Choose a practical point to carry into your service of Hashem, bli neder.
