THE ALEFING FATHERS CONFERENCE
You put your heart into your children.
Here is time and support for you, too.
A welcoming weekly gathering for fathers who care. Learn from the Rebbe’s teachings, make room to think about each child, and prepare one practical step—with encouragement along the way.
Come to listen. Share only what you choose. Your first week is free.

Investing heart and mind.
Building tomorrow.
01 / THE PURPOSE
You already give your children so much: your work, your care, your attention, and your hopes for their future. That is where we begin.
With everything a father carries, a quiet opportunity to think can be hard to find. Alefing gives you a regular place to pause and ask: what does this child need from me now?
Alefing helps you give that question a regular place in your life. Set aside time each day, work toward a half hour, think about one child, and choose a practical step. Return tomorrow with what you noticed.
What is something you appreciate about this child? What is one opportunity to help that goodness grow?
OUR TORAH FOUNDATION
“spend a half hour every day thinking about the Torah-education of children”
Hayom Yom, 22 Teves, places this daily thought at the heart of our responsibility. Alefing helps fathers give it time, attention, and practical expression.
Hayom Yom · 22 Teves (read the original on Chabad.org; opens in a new tab)A MOMENT TO EXPERIENCE THE APPROACH
Bring one child to mind. Move through these three prompts, and give that child a quiet moment of your thought.
A sample reflection inspired by Alefing. There is nothing to type or submit.
SEE THE CHILD BEYOND THE MOMENT
Think of a recent moment when this child showed kindness, persistence, curiosity, or initiative. What did that moment reveal?
“My son loves building. He can stay with a project for a long time.”
CONSIDER WHAT COULD GROW
Think about an opportunity suited to this child: a responsibility, a new way to approach Torah learning, or purposeful time together.
“Could his interest in building become a doorway into our learning together?”
MAKE THE THOUGHT PRACTICAL
Choose something clear and realistic. Decide when you will do it. Then return to your daily thinking with what you noticed.
“I’ll prepare a building activity for our next learning time and see what engages him.”
02 / HOW IT WORKS
A teaching from the Rebbe, time to think, and a conversation that helps you choose your next step.
Explore a selected teaching on chinuch and consider what it means for the way you see and guide your own child.
Stay for questions and continued discussion with Rabbi Tewel, or join an optional breakout with another father. You choose the setting that helps you.
Live + recordings. Main presentations are recorded for members. Private breakouts are not recorded.
Prefer a private conversation? Arrange a separate time with Rabbi Tewel on WhatsApp (opens in a new tab).
YOUR FIRST GATHERING
Whether home life feels settled or you are working through a difficult stretch, you are welcome. You can take part without explaining your family’s circumstances.
Join on Google Meet at 9:45 PM Eastern. Learn a selected teaching from the Rebbe and consider what it means for your own child. No preparation is needed.
You may listen without speaking and keep your reflections on your own worksheet. At about 10:15 PM, questions and partner breakouts are optional. Fathers are not paired automatically.
Notice one strength in your child and choose one action to try. A small beginning gives you something to build on. You can return with what you noticed, including what was difficult.
About recordings: Main presentations are recorded for members; breakout conversations are not. Others in a group conversation can hear what you share. For a personal matter, you can arrange a separate conversation with Rabbi Tewel.
Try your first week freeAN ALEFING PRODUCT / YOUR DAILY COMPANION
Give your daily thinking a place to begin—and a practical step to return to between gatherings.
A guided space to think about one child at a time.
Inspired by Hayom Yom, 22 Teves, The Chinuch Half Hour helps you notice a child’s strengths, consider what the child needs, and choose one thoughtful action.
Use it alongside the Fathers Conference to bring what you learn into your own daily chinuch thinking.
Open The Chinuch Half Hour (opens in a new tab)A BEGINNING YOU CAN COMMIT TO
Try your first week free. If it feels helpful, use six weekly gatherings to build a rhythm of learning, daily thought, and practical action.
WEEK ONE
Come and listen. Choose one child, notice a strength, and prepare one small action. Begin with a manageable daily thinking time, with a half hour as your goal.
WEEKS TWO TO FIVE
Try one thoughtful step each week. Notice what helps and what needs adjusting. If you miss a day, begin again. The teaching, worksheet, and optional conversation help you keep going.
WEEK SIX
Look at what you noticed, tried, and learned. Choose whether continued participation will help you grow further.
Six weeks gives the practice a beginning. Fathers who want to continue can keep learning and growing with the conference.
“I really appreciate our Chinuch time together. It is an opportunity to explore meaningful ideas, discuss real challenges, and support one another in the tremendous Shlichus of raising our children.”
“What makes our Chinuch time so valuable is the opportunity to bring real situations we face with our children, think them through together, and find meaningful ways forward.”
“One of the most meaningful parts is exploring how the Rebbe’s teachings about our generation—the generation of Geulah—can illuminate the way we approach Chinuch and raise our children.”
“There is something very special about having other parents to share ideas with, troubleshoot challenges, and encourage each other in our tremendous responsibility as Mechanchim.”
“It is about learning Chinuch concepts, taking those ideas and discussing how they apply to the actual situations we face with our children.”
“I really appreciate the Chinuch time we share. The combination of learning, practical discussion, and mutual support means so much to me.”

MEET THE FOUNDER
Chabad-Lubavitch educator
Founder of The Alefing Foundation
A father of a large family in Crown Heights, Rabbi Tewel is dedicated to helping fathers invest daily thought, attention, and vision into each child’s potential.
Alefing brings together his work in chinuch, creative communication, and technology, with Torah, Chassidus, and the Rebbe’s teachings at its foundation.
He brings the perspective of both an educator and a father working on these same responsibilities at home. His practical goal is to help each father find a thoughtful next step for his own family.

Fathers who want to devote purposeful thought to each child’s growth, whether things are going smoothly or there is a particular chinuch question on their mind.
You are welcome to begin from wherever you are. You do not need to describe your difficulties to the group. Come to listen, reflect privately, and find one useful step for your own family. You can also speak with Rabbi Tewel separately before joining.
A daily half hour is the goal we work toward. Begin with a realistic amount of time you can set aside, and build consistency. If you miss a day, start again. Each gathering offers an opportunity to reflect and take your next step.
The goal is to empower you as a father: to understand your children more deeply, recognize your influence, and make thoughtful chinuch decisions with confidence. You learn from the Rebbe’s guidance, build a daily thinking habit, and bring your own knowledge of your child to the work.
The current live meeting is Thursday at 9:45 PM Eastern on Google Meet. At about 10:15 PM, choose an optional breakout with another father or stay for continued discussion and Q&A with Rabbi Tewel. Fathers are not paired automatically. Additional meeting times may be offered in the future.

Recordings of the main presentations are available to members. Private breakout conversations are not recorded.
Message Rabbi Tewel to request your first seven days free. He will confirm your start date and meeting access. No payment details are needed for that request.

During the free first week, simply let Rabbi Tewel know and there is nothing to pay. You may cancel a paid recurring plan at any time. If you choose to stop after six weeks, cancel the plan so it does not renew.
No father will be turned away because he cannot afford the fee. Full or partial scholarships and payment arrangements can be discussed privately with Rabbi Tewel, with discretion and respect.
